Bridge Street Restaurant, Irvington, NY

Project Description

Client: Bridge Street Restaurant

TCA designed a simple but very lovely, casual restaurant in Irvington, New York in an old factory building near the train station: Bridge Street Restaurant. Here TCA used much of the existing building – brick walls, wooden floor, and exposed wood on the very high ceiling against clean white walls, simple furniture and an ochre back wall/wine display. The interior is dramatic but not at all glitzy, with the back wall being the focus of the room. Contemporary lights suspended on long cables add to the drama. The bar curves gently, which softens the room, and is built of maple wood and topped with marble, materials that are warm and appropriate.
