Birchridge Project, Barrington, MA

Project Description

Client: Birchridge Project

Turett Collaborative Architects is delighted to be one of three firms chosen to design a one-of-a-kind project in the Berkshires. The goal - and design mandate - is to design homes with minimal impact on the serene and majestic Birchridge Mountains; to create modern, ultimately contextual architecture. The site, Birchridge Reserves, is a pristine 110 acres of Northeastern forest. TCA’s vision for the homes is that they embrace their surroundings and blend seamlessly into the landscape. Six lots of approximately 10 acres each will share and preserve an additional 50 collective acres that include hiking trails, fields and access to the Williams River. The houses will be high on the upper ridge, along a single drive set into the mountain. Each will have panoramic views, and each, of course, will be custom designed.
