Jessica Shaw hails from Toronto, Canada, where she received her BFA in Interior Design from Ryerson University’s acclaimed School of Interior Design. Throughout her professional experience, Jessica has pushed the boundaries of the conventional role of Interior Designer. With experience ranging from retail and residential design to live events, production design and art direction for film, video installations, and performance art, the diversity of her background has shaped and informed the interior design practice she brings to her work today.

 

She originally came to New York City to join a select team of designers developing a new store design prototype for Estée Lauder. In the years that followed, she made inroads into the diverse creative world that only a city like New York can offer.

In 2002, Jessica founded Moment Design, where she managed and led notable residential projects throughout the city. As a rising designer, she was featured in prominent publications for her contemporary design work. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Jessica and her team joined forces with Wayne Turett, bringing her interior design point of view to dozens of residential and commercial projects. In 2014, Moment Design and The Turett Collaborative merged, and Jessica became Director of Interior Design for the firm, working closely with TTC’s architecture team. She is often looked to as a leading voice in New York’s design scene, providing insight and advice for designers and design enthusiasts in various publications.

Jessica lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, with her husband and son.
