BRIDGEHAMPTON RESIDENCE

Located in Bridgehampton, New York, this interior design project reimagines a five-bedroom classic Hamptons Shingle Style home as a relaxed and chic light-filled retreat for a Manhattan-based family. Situated near the grounds of the Hampton Classic Horse Show and surrounded by ponds, the house was originally purchased fully furnished in a more traditional Hamptons style. Over the course of three off-season phases, The Turett Collaborative worked with a former client to transform the interiors into a more contemporary and personal environment. The project builds on a long-standing relationship developed through prior collaborations, including the Charles Street Townhouse, allowing the design to evolve with a shared understanding of how the family lives and gathers.

The design draws on a “St. Barts” sensibility, with a palette of silvery blues and natural tones creating a cohesive visual language throughout the house. In the entry, a double-height space is defined by white walls, a bespoke circular rug, and an impressive “constellation” light installation composed of individual LED elements. Living and dining areas are arranged to take advantage of natural light and views of the surrounding landscape, supporting both everyday use and larger gatherings.

Materials and textures reference the coastal setting in a restrained way, while individual rooms maintain a shared palette with variation in tone and character. Outdoor areas extend the interior, with a deck and poolside setting designed for dining, relaxation, and entertaining. The result is a Bridgehampton residence that balances openness and separation, creating a flexible home designed for gathering, where indoor and outdoor living come together to support a vibrant, shared way of life centered around family, friends, and time spent together.
