CARNEGIE HILL RESIDENCE

This interior design project for a Carnegie Hill apartment transforms a classic Manhattan residence into a refined contemporary home designed around art, books, and everyday living. The Turett Collaborative created interiors that balance the richness of the building's original architectural details with a restrained modern aesthetic, resulting in spaces that feel both timeless and inviting.

Restored historic elements are complemented by a carefully curated palette of crisp whites, soft grays, and richly textured finishes. A substantial built-in library anchors the dining room, reinforcing the home's role as both a sophisticated setting for the owners' contemporary art collection and a comfortable environment for daily life. The completed residence demonstrates how thoughtful interior design can honor the character of a historic apartment while creating a fresh, elegant home for modern living.
