INTERMEDIATE ARCHITECT (FULL TIME)


The Turett Collaborative, an award-winning New York architecture and interiors firm, is

seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate/Senior Designer.

Working with the project team, the right candidate would be responsible for taking a

leadership role on multiple projects of various scales. Candidates should also have the

ability to work in a collaborative environment with a variety of internal design teams and

team leaders. Tasks will include management and production as required throughout all

design phases of any particular project. We are looking for a candidate that has strong

design and technical skills and a broad range of local experience. Salary is competitive

and based on experience/skill level.


The ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5 years relevant post-graduate experience

  • Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution

  • Proficiency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (Vectorworks & Rhino is a plus)

  • Interest and comfort level in taking a leadership role on projects from design through construction administration

  • Experience and ability to coordinate and produce construction documents

  • Strong knowledge of architectural design details

  • Familiarity with applicable local codes

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors

  • Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work on short time frames and meet deadlines

  • Experience in wide range of projects including single-family residential and multi-family new construction, as well as gut renovations

  • Experience with the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission is a plus

  • Strong design, communication, organizational and collaborative skills

  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

INTERIOR DESIGNER (PART TIME WITH OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME FULL TIME)


The ideal candidate is comfortable applying their perspective to a range of projects, from

high end residential to hospitality projects. TTC is a tight-knit team of dedicated

designers and architects that enjoy our time working together. Above all, we are looking

for an exceptional individual who will contribute to and enhance our firm while gaining

great personal satisfaction from the experience.


The ideal candidate has:

  • 2+ yrs work experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design

  • Developing designs with principal and other team members

  • Preparation of CD's, FF+E

  • Coordination with Clients, Vendors and Consultants on various levels

  • Candidate must be fluent with all major programs and ideally have experience with the following: Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, VRay, Bluebeam

  • 3-D Rendering skills (please list when applying)

  • Experienced in sourcing materials - internet, resource libraries, showrooms - D+D, A&D, 200 Lex

  • Familiarity with the New York City area, comfortable with regional travel for installations and adapted hours when installing project

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize within a very fast-paced environment

  • Excellent writing skills. Articulate speaker.

We are looking for a young superstar designer who can grow with us.

Our studio is located in Tribeca, and open Monday - Friday with caution and safety

measures in place. While this is an uncertain time, we are actively working on and

installing new projects. The ideal candidate is able to work MOST days in the studio / on

site, as this position is a very hands-on role.

ON-SITE CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INTERN


We are seeking an on-site Construction Management Intern to join us for an immersive

look into the renovation of a townhouse in Park Slope as well as other potential NYC

residential construction projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone

with a background and interest in Construction Management to oversee a large-scale

townhouse project, with daily responsibilities including checking construction progress,

reporting back to our firm’s Project Manager, and participating in review and

development of construction details based on their proficiency/experience level.


The ideal candidate:

  • Is currently studying Construction Management

  • Is comfortable being an architect’s representative on-site, sometimes without direct supervision from the architect

  • Is able to commute to our studio in Tribeca and our project site in Park Slope

  • Has experience and fluency in Revit software and reading of construction drawings

  • Has held previous positions or internships with construction experience

ON-SITE INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO ASSISTANT


The On-Site Interior Design Studio Assistant will play a vital role in our firm’s on-site

operations. This is a contract position, and we are seeking someone who has experience

with vendors and contractors, as well as the comfortability and confidence to act as the

“face” of the firm during installations and appointments where the interior design team

cannot be present. This position does not require design experience, but an interest and

light understanding of the interior design process may be valuable. The Studio Assistant

will report to the Director of Interiors. As this position requires reimbursed travel to and

from sites, usually private residences in the NYC area, a candidate with access to a car is

preferred.


The ideal candidate has:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • An interest or familiarity with the home design industry

  • Experience with overseeing and managing a group

  • Comfortability and confidence, acting as a well-spoken representative of the firm

  • Knowledge of the NYC area

  • Access to a car (travel will be reimbursed)

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • A flexible schedule that allows for contract work
