There’s nothing wrong with being Passive. Fellow green building advocates from Colorado’s “Breck Life” blog summed up the benefits and methodology of the movement, and debunked the myths associated with Passive Homes. Number one: “The Passive House standard actually sets few requirements for builders. The choice of materials and building styles depends on the architect’s and engineers’ imaginations.” Don’t be fooled by the eco-conscious label; Passive Homes do not have to sacrifice aesthetics for the environment.
