UPPER WEST SIDE PENTHOUSE
This penthouse renovation in Lincoln Square, near West 67th Street and Columbus Avenue, was designed to savor art and panoramic views in equal measure. With sightlines spanning the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, and the horizon over Long Island, The Turett Collaborative (TTC) organized the layout and detailing to preserve openness while giving equal presence to the clients’ unique collection of Asian art and sculpture.
TTC developed a clean, restrained interior with partitions and built-in elements that define spaces without interrupting long views. Stainless steel niches and wall insets create display moments for artwork, while textured concrete partitions in warm grey tones provide a calm backdrop that highlights the collection without competing with the skyline. A glass-enclosed study offers acoustic separation while maintaining transparency and uninterrupted sightlines.
Throughout the home, finishes and systems were integrated to maintain clear, unbroken lines, with concealed lighting, discreet audio-visual components, and pocket doors supporting a sense of quiet continuity. Storage and cabinetry solutions help keep the penthouse visually calm and highly functional. Skylights in the foyer and den further flood the home with natural light, reinforcing the project’s central goal: a penthouse home where art and panoramic views are experienced in equal measure.
