This project focused on the outdoor pool and lounge areas of a summer home in Water Mill, New York, for a longtime client following an earlier collaboration on their Upper West Side apartment. The goal was to create a series of distinct yet connected zones for outdoor living, supporting everything from dining and entertaining to lounging and sunbathing throughout the season. 

The outdoor areas were organized into four primary zones, anchored by an outdoor living room adjacent to the pool. Soft, upholstered furnishings blur the boundary between interior and exterior spaces, extending the comfort and ease of the home outdoors. A cleverly designed table by Kettal near the pool serves multiple functions, operating as a gathering surface, ice cooler, and fire pit, and reinforces the flexibility of the overall layout. 

Intended for a family of four and their dog, the space supports frequent entertaining and everyday summer living. The palette is bright, peppy, and inviting, with a fresh, relaxed sensibility that reflects how the areas are used. Comfort and practicality are balanced with a sense of ease and enjoyment, supporting long days spent entirely outdoors.
